Dr. Nishant Nawani

Dr. Nishant Nawani MBBS MS, did his primary schooling in Indian School, Muscat, Oman. In 1991 he was admitted to The Doon School, Dehradun and completed his secondary schooling there. Apart from a good record in academics, Dr. Nishant was an avid sportsman and represented the school in cricket, hockey, football and athletics. In 1999 he was admitted to MBBS in L.L.R.M. Medical College, Meerut. After completing MBBS with distinction he went to pursue his PG in Ophthalmology (eye surgery) from P.G.I.M.E.R., Chandigarh in 2006, where he trained in cataract surgery and corneal transplant surgery.

In 2013 he started working with his family at Doon Nursing Home, Dehradun. In September, 2014 he performed the first government approved, corneal transplant surgery in a private practice (non institutional) in the state of Uttarakhand at Doon Nursing Home. Dr. Nishant gives a lot of credit to the educational values and and morals he attained in school which shaped his career and empowered him to give back and contribute to society. He envisions that the team of Shikshankur, The Global School will produce many compassionate, honest, global ready citizens in the future.
